Saturday Polish Change :)

So today I didn't intentionally want to paint my nails...but due to me chipping my nail color I just could let it be. I can't walk around with half a nail looking "NASTY" :( 

So I wattled my way over to Sally's Beauty Supply. I wanted to purchase the the Re-Fresh Mint by China Glaze to just repaint the chipped nail. Unfortunately they didn't have it :( So I opted for a new color. 

I went for Spontaneous by China Glaze. I also ended up purchasing For Audrey by China Glaze since I loved it so much last weekend, and a Dry Fast Top Coat by Seche Vite.

Loves it!!! I'm totally feeling this matte purple color :)

Saturday Polish CHANGE :)

Hello Beautiful :)

Happy Saturday! I'm having a wonderful weekend here in Hollywood, CA. I'm spending the weekend with my family...my mother mostly. So today we decided to go for a polish change.

I haven't been going to the salon lately because I am pregnant & can't STAND the smell in Salons. However, my mom talked me into it. Plus I'm further along so I can stand it a little better now :) YAY! I missed the salons & missed not having to worry about doing my own nails. So I was in a complete state of BLISS... especially while sipping on my Pomegranate Pick-Me-Up Jamba Juice :)

Today I decided to go a little Blueish Green :) So I picked one of my favorite brands China Glaze. I LOVE their colors. They are always so Fresh. They have so many color options I sometimes go on a nail color over load. Today I picked For Audrey and Re-Fresh Mint . For Audrey is a turquoise color... totally channeling Tiffany & Co. and Breakfast at Tiffany's. So beautiful against my Tan Skin :) The second color I picked was Re-Fresh Mint from their Up & Away Collection. This color is a pale mint color. Really as in the name Refreshing :) I love them both! So much I want to go buy them :)

I thought they'd look good together. Darker on my toes of course ;)

By the way, my mom loved my color so much she decided to copy me :) Best compliment ever ;) She went with Re-Fresh Mint for her toes. I love it on her too.

So Re-Fresh Mint was perfect for her toes :)

Time is Flying...My Lil' Petite is growing up & getting more Beautiful every day!

My little niece is starting her 8th grade year!! O-M-G time has flown right by me...

Since I am currently expecting my first child I often reminisce about my lil' petite bebe (my niece) and all her wonderful years as a little rascal. So many wonderful memories of her running around causing havoc. Yelling at her mom and I to stop laughing because it annoyed her little ears. "Bop it! Bop laughing!"

She has grown up so gracefully...turning into this young beautiful pre-teen. It just blows me away what a little lady she has become :)

So this summer she spent some time with me. We had a total girls night in my place & had a blast :) Since she doesn't live in LA anymore I hardly see her so I enjoyed the time we spent.
We had pizza, chatted, did our hair & nails, and of course makeup!

She had a lot of questions this time about makeup. Now that she is more interested in it :) She learned how to apply eyeliner  and mascara. Then we ventured into applying eye shadows. I don't think her mom would let her go out with a lot of makeup but we still played and I explained to her about blending and mixing colors. It was a blast & she loved it when I added a lil' black to the eye for a more dramatic look.

I hope to spend more time with her this year now that she'll have her first little cousin to come visit :) And maybe I'll be able to kidnap her for a weekend and do her face. Makeover's are always the BEST!

Pink & Glitter French Nails

This summer I've been doing my own nails...

I painted 4 coats of this light baby pink and 2 coats of the glitter for my french tip. Came out Cute don't you think? Not bad for someone with no nail experience....
